Programmes
Central Library organizes induction programmes for students, researchers, teachers and other staff members of the university. The main motive of the orientation programmes is to educate its users about various information resources available and ways to use these resources and library services.
Library organizes various workshops, training programmes, seminars and conferences for library professionals about current trends, advancements in libraries and latest software available. Library also organizes lectures and various competitions (under NDLI CLUB) for its users.
The Induction Programme is organized at the beginning of each session. During this programme, students, researchers, teachers are informed about various activities and resources, facilities and services of the Library. Secondly, when the new users are coming into the Library, Library staff also describe various segments of the Library. This library is providing many services through the web. Under this programme, all the information related with the Library is provided to the users.
Our university library is a member of National Digital Library of India and MRSPTU NDLI Club is set up under NDLI. Under NDLI Club, the university library is organising various lectures and Competitions for our users. All the certificates will be provided by the National Digital Library of India.
In the coming days, Library will oganised faculty development programmes so that enhance the skill of the faculty and staff members in the professional of library and information science.
In the next year, Library will oganised National Level Conference on the topic of Current Trents in Academic Libraries in the Digital Environment so that enhance the skill of the faculty and staff members in the professional of library and information science.
Library has organized many book fairs in this institute. Publishers of National and International have participated during these organized book fairs. Library staff and faculty members attend every World Book Fair, Delhi Book Fair and Other Region Fairs in various places. Some photographs are given below:
To promote the culture and various activities of the Library, Library will organise various programmes like Quiz etc. Prizes will also be distributed to the winners and runners. Library will also provide Best User Award from the students and staff.
Library will organised number of lectures about the facilities and services available in the library like as how to use Library Softwares, OPAC Search, DELNET services and how to search other various print and digital resources. It also guide the students to submit their dissertations and project reports in ETD Submission (Repository).
